March 2020 was a very impactful month in the world. COVID-19 began spreading rapidly and was officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). During this time, people began to panic about what was going to happen and if materials would last. As everyone stress-bought everything off the shelves, five college students decided to help those that were not able to go to the store and buy their own things. They used their own money, and some donations, to buy sanitary items for elderly homes.
After donating boxes of materials to three homes, the five students came up with the idea of continuing to do things to help their community. However, they were not sure what to focus on, and instead decided to help in as many ways possible. Once this became the goal of the group, the next step was creating a name. The students had a brainstorming session in one of their backyards and quickly realized that naming the group was tougher than it sounded. After hours of talking, one of them mentioned, "What name could capture the fact that we want to make people's days better?", and that question was the start of it all.
